Vestibular Rehab

Vestibular physiotherapy is a specialized branch of physiotherapy that focuses on diagnosing and treating issues related to the vestibular system, responsible for balance and spatial orientation.

Through targeted exercises and techniques, physiotherapists help patients alleviate dizziness, vertigo, and imbalance, ultimately restoring their quality of life and independence

Concussion

After sustaining a concussion, an initial assessment is recommended within the first week of the injury. During an initial assessment a thorough evaluation is conducted to assess the severity of the injury. This can include a detailed history of the injury, previous concussion history, Vestibular and Oculo-Motor screen, and assessment of the cervical spine and any other musculoskeletal concerns.

After a full comprehensive assessment is completed, the individual is provided with individualized resting and self-management strategies, appropriate Vestibular and Oculo-Motor rehabilitation exercises, treatment of musculoskeletal concerns, and a step-by-step guideline of return to sport/work.
